The Clas Ohlson Family Invests in the Heir’s AI Company

In January this year, the Swedish company Find My Factory was launched – a world-unique AI-based tool where buyers from all industries can quickly and efficiently find the right supplier among over 8 million suppliers and manufacturers worldwide. The company is now raising SEK 8 million in a round led by the Clas Ohlson family to rapidly grow and activate the long waiting list of major customers.

Find My Factory was founded in 2022 by Dimitri Haid (great-grandson of Clas Ohlson, owner of Clas Ohlson, as well as chairman of the Clas Ohlson Foundation and founder of Plaxbox) together with Martin Schneider, CEO (formerly a prominent leader at Trygg-Hansa) and David Larsson (owner of IT consultancy DJV Consulting).

Through my previous roles, including procurement and product development at my former company Plaxbox, I have seen firsthand the challenges and issues with finding the right suppliers in a time- and cost-efficient way. That's where the idea for Find My Factory was born. The team has done an incredible job, and we now feel confident that we are going to revolutionize the entire procurement industry, whether you're working with food, industry, retail, interior design, the automotive industry, and more. With the founding trio in place, and Evolante as a technical partner and co-owner—led by Simon Wijk Stranius as CTO (Simon has represented Sweden in the world championships in service robotics and artificial intelligence from Linköping University)—they started building the platform.

Find My Factory was launched in January this year with a long waiting list of over 80 customers from various industries who have also begun testing the product (including Clas Ohlson). Now, for the first time, they are raising funds (SEK 8 million) from, among others, the Clas Ohlson family and a number of angel investors to accelerate and grow.
